Electronics and communication Engineering plays an evolutional role in everyday human’s life and thus it has a vital role in enriching the knowledge and career opportunities for students. The department has post graduation course M.E communication systems. Our faculty members are highly qualified and dedicated. Department of ECE has recognised research centre under Anna university, Chennai. Currently many research scholars are doing research under our research centre. The department of ECE has well equipped lab facility with the cost of 224 lakhs which includes industry supported labs such as Texas Innovation Centre, Advanced VLSI lab sponsored by AICTE MORDROB scheme and National Instrument’s Lab View.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:
1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering Problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Research activities of ECE department is centered around the core domains of Speech processing, Image processing, Antenna design & Fabrication and Analog/RF/Digital IC design. To inculcate and promote research interests among students in the above core ECE domains, we perform regular R&D projects resulting in publications or patents. Workshops, industry seminars and conferences are also organized in our department to help enhance the knowledge of our students in state-of-the art. Our R & D team is also actively involved in getting funds from TNSCST,ICMR,DST etc.,

Research profile: She has completed her UG in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore and M.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Trichy. She holds a PhD from Anna University, Chennai. Her area of interests are VLSI signal Processing, reliability of on chip interconnects and transceiver design for 5G communication. She has published more than 25 papers in reputed international journals andinternational Conferences. She is presently guiding 6 research scholars for Phd in the domain of VLSI.

He holds a PhD from Anna University, Chennai in Wireless Sensor Network. His areas of interests are “Embedded Systems and Wireless Communicationsâ€.
