• Mr. T. John Peter, Assistant Professor/ department of CSE, along with his team members Adharsh R, Hariharan S, and Madhan Kumar D, has been selected for their innovative idea. They have been awarded a grant of Rs.10,000 to support the development of their project under the “Naan Mudhalvan Grand Innovation & Skilling Challenge – Niral Thiruvizha (Hackathon) – 2024”.
• Moreover, the Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ozone Cyber Security, indicating a collaborative effort likely aimed at enhancing cybersecurity solutions or services.
• The Department has also signed an MOU with iSysWay Technologies for AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure training and certifications, suggesting a partnership aimed at enhancing skills and expertise in cloud computing platforms.

• Under Dr. R. Sheeba’s guidance, students’ final year project reached the final round in FAER McAfee Scholar Awards 2020-21.

• Mr. A. Jerome Michael, II-Year student, won first place in the 110-meter hurdles, second place in the high jump, and fourth place in the 4X100-meter relay.
• Ms. M. Jyothsana, III-Year student, won first place in the triple jump and the 400-meter hurdles.
• Ms. M. Sudharsana, III-Year student, won first place in the heptathlon and second place in the 800-meter race.

Special Highlights of the Department of CSE

• Firstly, Under Oracle Academy, 105 students completed a free Java certification course. Additionally, 53 students earned the “Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamental- AZ-900” certification. Moreover, 36 students completed the “Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals” course. Finally, 35 students successfully completed the “Data Analytics (MS-DA002)” program through the Cognizant Foundation.
• In addition, the students have obtained certifications across a diverse range of domains, including Java Fundamentals from Oracle Academy, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft AI Fundamentals, Google Cloud Career Readiness Associate Cloud Engineer Track from Google, Data Analytics (MS-DA002) from Cognizant Foundation, AWS Cloud Practitioner from AWS, Certified Pega System Architect from Pega, Wipro Futureskills certification, CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA, and Cyber Security certification from ISC2 (International Information System Security Certification Consortium).
