Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has established 'MHRD's Innovation Cell (MIC)' to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative
years. MIC has envisioned creation of Institution's Innovation Council (IICs) across selected HEIs. A network of these IICs will be established to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in these campuses.
On 2018, the Institution's Innovation Council was established in our K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering accordance with the MHRD-IIC initiative, with the mission of promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among faculties and students.
The council's activities are carried out according to a set of programme intended to increase students to think widely in the growing innovation environment . IIC of our college conducting numerous number of activities throughout the year and it enrich our students knowledge and transform students as entrepreneurs.
Our college was awarded with 3.5 Star Rating by Institution's Innovation Council(IIC) in the previous year
