Research Policy
Introduction
KRCE is embarked with the vision of being a social partner for the development of our country through its involvement in research, having attributed novel technology in research and development activities. The R & D team of K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering is committed to excellence in the research. The dedicated research team adds its strength and spreads its roots over diverse areas like Big Data, Cloud Computing, CAD/CAM, Virtual reality, Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Networking, VLSI and Antenna design, Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence. Having realized a dire scope and demand of research in the emerging fields, these key ultra-tech disciplines are focused to bring out the desired results for the betterment of the society. In our institution three departments namely ECE, EEE and MECH have been recognized as Research centers by Anna University, Chennai to do PhD/MS by research.
Objectives
- To encourage and insist our faculties to apply for research projects by the funding agencies like AICTE, DST, UGC, DBT etc.,
- To promote the research various seminars will be conducted for research methodology and ethics, efficient paper writing and research proposal submission etc. by our senior professors and eminent persons from outside.
- To conduct research meetings regularly for our faculties by our principal to promote their research activities and to complete their PhD in the prescribed period.
- To assist the faculties to publish articles in the prescribed journal to avoid fake journals and properly utilizing our plagiarism software Turnitin.
- To conduct FDP from each department in the latest emerging subjects like Machine learning, Artificial intelligence, 5G, 6G, Photonics, AR and VR, 3D printing, Robotics & Automation, Networking etc., and to apply these latest techniques in their specialization.
- To coordinate the faculties and students to apply for interdisciplinary proposals.
PhD/M.S by Research
- A candidate should register at KRCE research Center on getting provisional registration letter from Anna University.
- Ph.D./M.S. candidates should present their research progress before the review committee constituted by the concerned department once in six months.
- Faculty members with PhD are advised to get Research supervisorship from Anna University Chennai.
- As per University norms scholars are permitted to do research under a supervisor.
- The Research scholars are encouraged to publish their research works in reputed SCI indexed journals after getting the approval from their supervisors.
- Research Supervisors are advised to submit the research articles to the journal only after checking the plagiarism.
