About
The Intellectual Property Management Cell was established in the year of 2017 by our
chairman Dr.K.Ramakrishnan, for to promote the innovation and entrepreneurial skills
among the students and also protect the inventions developed by the students and faculty
members.
Objective
- To create awareness among the students, researchers and faculty members about Intellectual
Property Rights (IPR) such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, industrial designs and trade
secrets through workshops, seminars and training programs.
- To assist inventors in identifying patentable inventions and provide guidance for
drafting, filing, prosecution and maintenance of patents and other IP applications.

To help convert research outcomes into commercially viable products, startups, licensing
opportunities and industry collaborations.
- To establish a systematic database of inventions, patents, copyrights, publications and
technology disclosures generated within the institution.
- To build partnerships with industries, research organizations, incubation centers and
government agencies for collaborative research and innovation activities.
- To offer basic advisory support regarding IP laws, prior-art searches, patentability
analysis, patent drafting, Response to office actions and infringement related issues.
